Looks like 2016 is not done being a pretty good sports year in Ohio.

At least north of I-70.

Except for the Browns.

Anyhoo, in case you missed it, the Blue Jackets have won a franchise-record 10 games in a row to climb into playoff position in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference.

Columbus’ NHL team is but one point behind division co-leaders the Penguins and Rangers, and the CBJ happen to be scheduled to take on defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

It’s been quite a turnaround for the Jackets, who have posted back-to-back disappointing seasons after making the playoffs in 2014.

They have a former Vezina Trophy winner in goal and exciting young players such as Seth Jones and Brandon Saad, but is it sustainable?

Whatever the case, this hot start has certainly been more fun for CBJ fans than the disastrous beginnings of the last two years in Columbus.
