5 things to know: UFC 202 McGregor vs. Diaz

Saturday's UFC 202 pay-per-view is headlined by the rematch of Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz - the fight that was supposed to headline the monster anniversary PPV UFC 200 last month. It's the biggest UFC rematch in years, and will determine the future career arc of McGregor, the promotion's biggest star.

1. What's the big deal about Diaz vs. McGregor? McGregor was undefeated while featherweight champoin. He moved up two weight classes to fight Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 196 as a welterweight. A week and a half before the fight, dos Anjos withdrew due to injury, Nate Diaz stepped in on short notice as a replacement, then submitted McGregor by rear-naked choke for McGregor's first loss.

Diaz and McGregor were scheduled to fight again at UFC 200. McGregor wanted more money, UFC President Dana White didn't give it to him, and McGregor was booted from the UFC 200 card and replaced by a returning Brock Lesnar (currently contracted to pro wrestling company WWE), who defeated heavyweight Mark Hunt - it was announced after the fight Lesnar failed a drug test.

2. Why the animosity? McGregor hasn't kept it secret he's one of UFC's top draws, and makes the point clear to the press. He also likes to trash talk, and Diaz doesn't mind the verbal puglisim either. It boiled over at this week's press conference when McGregor appeared 30 minutes late. Diaz left the podium as McGregor began asking questions and said he wanted to fight Diaz three times. Diaz threw a water bottle and a middle finger as he walked away, and chaos erupted. McGregor was throwing bottles from the stage, which were hitting fans and press, Diaz and company were throwing bottles back, until White had McGregor dragged off the floor.

The two were separated during Friday's weigh in.

White said both fighters would be 'in big trouble" after Saturday. He expects a hearing from the Nevada Athletic Commission, massive fines, suspensions and possible community service. He said said someone in the crowd was injured during the chaos.

3. What did Diaz have to say about the fight? "I expect all kinds of surprises from Conor so I'm making sure that I'm ready for whatever he brings. I'm not making any predictions. I'm just going in there to win."

4. What did McGregor have to say about the fight? "This invincible feeling Nate has that he can't get knocked out, he's going to get knocked out on Saturday. My legacy was set in stone when I knocked Jose Aldo in 13 seconds."

5. And the rest of the show? Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixera; Rick Story vs. Donald Cerrone; Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Mike Perry; Tim Means vs. Sabah Homasi. Four fights will air on the preliminary show, starting at 8 p.m. on FS1.
