Wayne grad Trice in the Sweet 16 with Wisconsin Badgers

March Madness continues for former Wayne High School standout D’Mitrik Trice.

Trice and his Wisconsin Badgers teammates face Florida on Friday night in a Sweet 16 game at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Trice, a 6-foot freshman guard, is one of the top reserves for the Badgers (27-9). Trice has played in all 36 games and averages 5.8 points and 1.9 assists.

At Wayne, Trice led the Warriors to the Division I state basketball title in 2015 . A three-year starter, he finished his career as Wayne's all-time assists leader (499). He spent the 2015-16 season as a post-graduate at IMG Academy in Florida.

The Badgers beat Virginia Tech and defending champion Villanova to reach the Sweet 16.
