Brian Agler, a 1980 Wittenberg graduate, won his second WNBA title as a head coach Thursday as the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Minnesota Lynx 77-76 in Game 5 on a shot by Nneka Ogwumike with 3.1 seconds left.

As a freshman, Agler helped lead Wittenberg to its last national championship in basketball in 1977. He began his coaching career in 1993 at Kansas State. He led the Seattle Storm to the WNBA championship in 2010. The Sparks hired Agler in January 2015.

Agler is the first WNBA coach to win championships with two teams.
