Dayton’s brunch game is strong.

If you’re looking for the tried-and-true destinations for a great brunch anytime, these are the three top winners in Dayton.com’s latest Best of Dayton contest.

First Watch is one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the U.S., and there’s good reason for that. This daytime restaurant specializes in breakfast, lunch and that meal in between. 

The menu offers a lot of standbys, but also mixes it up with seasonal dishes.

Two of the most popular dishes include The Traditional (two fresh cage-free eggs any style with your choice of bacon, smoked ham, savory chicken sausage patties, turkey or pork sausage links. Served with whole grain artisan toast, all-natural house preserves and fresh, seasoned potatoes) and the Tri-fecta (Two fresh cage-free eggs any style with either a light and airy Belgian waffle or a multigrain pancake. Plus your choice of bacon, savory chicken sausage patty, turkey or pork sausage link).

The menu has something for everyone. You can opt for healthy choices like avocado toast or a superfoods bowl. You can splurge on fruit-topped waffles, pancakes or French toast or tasty omelets or frittatas.

SECOND PLACE: Dublin Pub

The Dub Pub may be most famous for St. Patrick's Day, Pub Fries and Guinness. But it also has a brunch worth trying. On Sundays, the Dub Pub offers a delicious brunch buffet with farm fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, fresh fruit, biscuits, house made sausage gravy, made to order omelettes, carving station with assorted entrees, salads, side items and desserts. THIRD PLACE: Another Broken Egg Cafe

Another Broken Egg Cafe, which has operated a restaurant in Austin Landing since late 2014, opened its second Dayton-area location earlier this year in Beavercreek. Another Broken Egg serves breakfast, brunch and lunch with a Southern-inspired menu that includes cocktails.

Some brunch menu highlights include Crab Cake Benedict, Crab Cake and Fried Green Tomatoes, Louisiana Crawfish Bowl, a lobster and brie omelette, chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. View the full menu here.
