Twitter Reacts: Dayton Flyers 85, Richmond Spiders 84

Richmond is all in on spiders. Everywhere you look at the Robins Center, there are eight-legged creatures staring back. There was even a birthday cake with a spider on it in the media room Tuesday. I took a photo of former Xavier coach and CBS Sports analyst Pete Gillen emerging from the mouth of an inflatable spider before the game.

Before the game, my spider sense told me this would be a tough one for the Flyers. I thought they could play much better than they did against Rhode Island, which wouldn't be hard to do, and still lose. Playing on Senior Night in another cursed arena with a large chunk of Flyer Nation turning up the pressure on Archie and Co., it all added up to a bad feeling.

But the Flyers proved everyone wrong. Here's how Twitter reacted:
