Antani ceremoniously sworn in to Ohio House seat

State Representative Niraj Antani was ceremoniously sworn in Monday at the Baum Opera House in Miamisburg by Mayor Dick Church, a Democrat.

Antani won election to the 42nd District state House seat in November. The seat had been vacant since the death of state Rep. Terry Blair. Antani was officially sworn in at the statehouse earlier this month.

Both Church and Antani spoke about their goals for Miamisburg and the surrounding areas. “I’m honored to be able to serve our great community,” Antani said. “Having been born and raised here, this area means a lot to me and I’m looking forward to being able to work to create opportunities for all so all can achieve their American dream.”

The 4nd district covers most southern Montgomery County suburbs including Miamisburg, Miami Twp, Germantown and the West Carrollton area.
