RG acquires Flagel Realty

Richard Flagel Realty will be merged into RG Properties, the firms said late Thursday.

“Richard Flagel Realty, which was founded by its namesake in 1976 and has been a major player in the Dayton region’s commercial real estate sector, will be folded under the RG Properties umbrella,” a statement from the firms said.

Washington Township-based RG Properties is a closely-held real estate developer. Its biggest recent development is Austin Landing, a 142-acre mixed-use development northeast of the new Austin Pike interchange at 1nterstate 75.

Bo Gunlock, RG’s vice president of asset management, will lead the newly combined operations, the companies’ statement said. Richard Flagel will stay with the firm, “but will be switching his focus to brokerage and sales,” the statement said.

The announcement said all current employees will keep their jobs at the combined operation. It didn’t give a current number of employees.

“This merger produces the ideal platform to service the real estate owners in this region,” Gunlock said in the announcement.
