"Pursuing this partnership was a clear decision for Midmark," said John Baumann, president and CEO of Midmark. "Veterinary professionals have to balance the health of their patients with the health of their business. Because of this, we have made it our mission to do all that we can to assist them by offering resources to help simplify their work, including innovative products and continuing education opportunities."

Baumann said Midmark is ready to welcome VSSI’s 42 employees. Midmark began in 1915 as the Cummings Machine Co. in Minster, manufacturing cement mixers. Today the company manufactures medical, dental and veterinary equipment.

The company would not disclose the total monetary value of the acquisition.
