Anderson named branch manager

Peoples Bank welcomes Scott Anderson as branch manager in the Centerville office.

In his new role, Anderson will oversee the day-to-day branch activities, continue to build on and maintain world class service, and lead efforts to develop business and community relationships.

Gramza appointed prosecutor

Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. has announced that Ann K. Gramza has been appointed to the position of Assistant Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney.

Gramza received her law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law in 2000. She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs, with a minor in Economics.

She was a Montgomery County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from April 2005 until March 2013 and served as the Supervising Attorney of the Child Protection Unit from January 2011 to March 2013. Then, from March 2013 until her return to our office, Ann was the CASA Program Manager at the Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

Gramza is assigned to the Intake/Grand Jury Section of the Prosecutor’s Office, a section comprised of assistant prosecuting attorney whose primary responsibility is conducting Preliminary Hearings in the municipal courts as well as presenting cases for indictment before the Montgomery County Grand Jury.

Grote joins Kettering associates

Dr. Ryan Grote has joined Kettering Surgical Associates in Hamilton and Fairfield.

Dr. Grote specializes in advanced laparoscopic procedures, hernia repair, minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures, breast cancer and colon surgery, and wound care.

A native of Hamilton, Dr. Grote earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a general surgery residency at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

Ambe promoted to assistant vice president

Ohio National Financial Services has announced that Pradeep Ambe, FMLI, has been promoted to assistant vice president, IT development annuities and retirement plan systems.

In his new role, Ambe will lead the team developing applications and enhancements for software development.

Ambe joined Ohio National in 1995 as a senior analyst programmer and most recently was director, IT system development.

Scarpelli appointed prosecutor

Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced that Michael Scarpelli has been appointed to the position of Assistant Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney.

Scarpelli received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in

2015. He received his undergrad degree from The Ohio State University in 2011, majoring in International Studies.

Scarpelli is assigned to the Appellate Division of the Prosecutor’s Office, the division responsible for preparing and arguing all appeals of criminal and civil cases in which Montgomery County is a party. Attorneys in this division spend extensive time doing legal research, preparing written briefs, and arguing cases before the Second

District Court of Appeals, Federal courts, and the Ohio Supreme Court.

TRANSPORTATION

Smith named project manager

The Greater Dayton RTA welcomes Maintenance Project Manager Derrick Smith. His role is to provide project and day-to-day oversight on the Buildings and Grounds group as well as the trolley power infrastructure.

Smith worked most recently as the Director of Operations for the Dayton division of Automation Tooling Systems (ATS). He was also a senior program manager for Assembly & Test Worldwide (ATW), where he managed programs for Ford vehicles.

He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a graduate of ITT Technical Institute and attended the Sinclair/University of Dayton Engineering parallel program.

Wright named prosecutor

Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced that Michael B. Wright has been appointed to the position of Assistant Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney.

Wright received his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2015.

While in law school, he also pursued a Masters in Business Administration, which he received in 2016. He received his undergraduate degrees from Eastern Michigan University, majoring in Psychology and Finance.

Wright is assigned to the Child Protection Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office, a unit that intervenes to protect, and in some cases remove, abused and neglected children. Representing the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services, the Unit prosecutes complaints requesting protective supervision, temporary custody, legal custody, and permanent custody. Whenever law enforcement removes a child from a dangerous environment, the Child Protection Unit is involved.
