Upper Valley ENT joins Premier

Premier Health Specialists has announced the addition of Upper Valley ENT Associates in Troy.

Upper Valley ENT Associates includes Stewart Adam, MD, and Jeffery Adam, MD. Dr. Stewart Adam received his medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed a residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Jeffery Adam received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed a residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Fralick retires from Security

Security National Bank (Security) recently announced the retirement of its President and Chief Executive Officer William C. Fralick, who joined Security 40 years ago and has been the bank's president since 1997 and CEO since 2003. Under his leadership, the bank maintained and grew its position as a top community bank, providing deposits, loans and trusts and investment services to families and business in six counties.

A graduate of Springfield North High School, Fralick joined Security as a management trainee in 1976 after earning a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University. He also graduated from the Ohio School of Consumer Lending and National School of Commercial Lending.

Hale and Mazer named prosecutors

Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced that Alex Hale and Benjamin Mazer have been appointed to the positions of Assistant Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney.

Hale received his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2014.

He received his undergrad degree from The University of Findlay in 2010, majoring in History.

Mazer received his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2011. He received his undergrad degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2008, majoring in Political Science. Prior to joining the prosecutor’s office, he practiced law in the private sector.

Hale and Mazer will be assigned to the Civil Division of the Prosecutor’s Office. The Civil Division is the legal advisor to all county boards, county agencies, county elected officials, and township trustees, boards and commissions.

Hazel joins Cedar Wealth

Cedar Wealth Management, a Walnut Creek, California, investment firm has selected Bill Hazel of Springboro to be a director in the firm. Hazel will also be a member of the Investment Committee.

Cedar Wealth is a new company arriving in the Dayton area and will focus on high net worth families, as well as Institutional and Corporate Retirement funds. With clients throughout the country, Cedar Wealth is looking forward to growing relationships in the Midwest and East Coast. The Cedar Wealth office is located in Centerville.

Emily Kimble, MD, has joined Women's Health at Oak Creek, located at 6438 Wilmington Pike, Suite 300, in Centerville.

Dr. Kimble is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Kimble earned her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois.

Lanning joins Sugarcreek Chiropractic

Sugarcreek Chiropractic, 4299 Sugarcreek Dr., has announced the addition of Tyler Lanning, DC to its staff. A native of Indiana, Dr. Lanning earned a Bachelor Degree in exercise science, biomechanics and kinesiology from Indiana University. He worked extensively with the athletic training programs and kinesiology departments.

A Bellbrook resident, Dr. Lanning received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. At Palmer he also received specialty training in several areas such as electromyography diagnostics and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization techniques. Dr. Lanning has also held the position of second VP and event coordinator on the world’s largest chiropractic sports council (The Palmer College of Chiropractic Sports Council).

Gene Lease, MD, has joined Kettering Physician Network Primary Care at the Englewood Health Center, located at 1250 National Road, Suite 400, in Englewood.

Dr. Lease is board certified and has 24 years of experience in family medicine. His scope of service includes all family medicine with a special focus on preventative medicine and joint injections.

Dr. Lease earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. He completed a family medicine internship and residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Maiberger named COO at Premier Health

Premier Health has announced that Michael J. Maiberger, Senior Vice President of Value Based Services, has been named as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for the health system. He began his new role on April 5, 2016.

In his current role, Maiberger has been responsible for Value Services, including the Premier physician companies and Premier Health Plan. He previously served as Chief Strategy Officer for the health system and prior to that he was President & CEO of Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Over the last 18 years, Mike has held progressively responsible positions at Upper Valley including Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

Maiberger holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University, along with a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Xavier University. He is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Premier HealthNet, Premier Health Specialists, Premier Health Group, Premier Health Plan, Fidelity Health Care and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce.

Nilles joins Taft Stettinius & Hollister

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP attorney Victoria L. Nilles has been elected to serve as first vice chair of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio for a two-year term. She previously served as treasurer.

Nilles is member of the firm’s Litigation and Product Liability groups. She concentrates her practice in the area of general commercial litigation, including lender liability, tort, complex contractual disputes and unfair competition, as well as intellectual property and trademark matters in state and federal courts and before the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Peters appointed prosecutor

Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced that Alice Peters has been appointed to the position of Assistant Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney.

Peters received her JD/MSW from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2015. She received her undergrad degree from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in 2010, majoring in Political Science.

She will be assigned to the Child Protection Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office, which intervenes to protect, and in some cases remove, abused and neglected children. Representing the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services, the Unit prosecutes complaints requesting protective supervision, temporary custody, legal custody, and permanent custody. Whenever law enforcement removes a child from a dangerous environment, the Child Protection Unit is involved.
