DeClark’s to celebrate grand re-opening in new location

DeClark’s Card and Gift Shop will celebrate its grand re-opening Nov. 1 in a new location at the Town and Country Shopping Center in Kettering, store officials said Tuesday.

DeClark’s new location is between Fifth Third Bank and Trader Joe’s, officials said.

The new store at 362 E. Stroop Road is smaller than its previous location, with updated displays and product selection, according to a media release.

Kettering Mayor Don Patterson and other local officials will attend a ribbon-cutting event and reception at 10 a.m. Nov. 1.

DeClark’s will offer free gift bags, valued at up to $40, to the first 100 customers to make a $10 purchase at the new store, officials said. From Nov. 1-3 the store also will offer a 30 percent discount on the first item purchased, of the customer’s choice, with a total purchase of $50 or more.

DeClark’s has been in business for 54 years and has operated at the Town and Country Shopping Center since 1978.
