Captain D’s parent company puts seafood chain up for sale, report says

The parent company of Captain D’s seafood restaurant chain — which operates restaurants in Kettering, Huber Heights, Middletown, Fairfield and Greenville — has put the chain up for sale, according to Dow Jones & Co.

The chain, which operates more than 500 locations nationwide, has rebounded nicely since it was acquired by Sun Capital in 2010, recording sales increases in each of the last two years, according to Dow Jones. North Point Advisors has been appointed to help with the sale of the chain.

The executive chef of Captain D’s is scheduled to come to the Dayton area later this week for a promotional event highlighting some of the chain’s new menu items, which have helped fuel the sales increases.
