Mexican restaurant opens in Kettering

The El Rancho Grande restaurant at 4139 Wilmington Pike in Kettering opened Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The restaurant is located on Wilmington Pike just south of East Stroop Road, in a building that formerly housed Crocodile Louie’s, and before that, Grindstone Charley’s. It has been vacant for more than a year. The restaurant is the sixth Dayton-area El Rancho Grande, and the 15th overall, for the Cincinnati-based chain.

Construction delays, for both the interior renovation and the patio expansion, contributed to delays in the opening, which had been projected for August, according to El Rancho Grande President of Operations Gary Rodriguez.

The restaurant employs 27. Seating capacity is about 232. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. For more information, call (937) 938-7465.
