Free career training offered for manufacturing software

A Beavercreek company is offering a free traning course next month that will give participants a basic understanding of manufacturing using computer numerical control equipment, also known as CNC.

Adaptive Technology Solutions said its “Manufacturing Pays” program is open to veterans, the unemployed or under-employed and those from a non-manufacturing environment interested in pursuing work in the manufacturing industry.

The program is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the week of Nov. 4, Monday through Friday. ATS said the program provides attendees with basic CNC knowledge and information on G-code, CAM, and Edgecam Workflow.

After successfully completing the program, each attendee will receive an Edgecam license, which comes with yearly updates and training updates, ATS said.
