The owners of a newly opened 285-seat restaurant in Warren County are working to open a second location in Dayton and want to expand the concept to Columbus and Cincinnati as well.

A grand opening is set for today, Jan. 6, for Louie’s Taphouse & Grill, at 8267 Arbor Square Drive in Deerfield Twp. Louie’s Taphouse & Grill opened “softly” about six weeks ago in the 7,660-square-foot space that formerly housed Willie’s Sports Bar & Grill off Mason-Montgomery Road, according to Howard Mason, co-owner of the full-service restaurant and bar.

A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for noon today at the restaurant. The grand opening celebration will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will include samples from the food menu and from the craft beer offerings. Louie’s has 60 beers on tap, “and we’ll soon have 100,” Mason said. He described the menu as “American Casual,” and it includes items such as Creole Grouper, Pasta Alfredo, Gator Bites, burgers, flatbread pizzas and fish and chicken “street tacos.”

Mason said the new restaurant’s owners are working with CityWide Development Corp. to open a second Louie’s Taphouse & Grill location in the city of Dayton. Owners also want to open Louie’s Taphouse & Grill locations in Columbus and additional locations in the Cincinnati area, the restaurant’s majority owner said.

Louie's Taphouse & Grill's hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, check out the Louie's Taphouse & Grill Facebook page, its web site at louiestaphouse.com or call (513) 770-0888.
