Fifth Third Bank gradually restoring network functions after earlier outage

Fifth Third posted on Twitter that the bank is gradually restoring service to its network after a national outage affected customers for several hours this afternoon.

EARLIER:

Fifth Third is experiencing network issues and is working to resolve them, the bank said Friday afternoon.

“We are experiencing an issue with our network,” the bank said in a brief statement. “We are working as quickly as possible to restore service for our affected customers and we apologize for the inconvenience.”

Customers have said debit cards and ATMS are having functionality issues.
