Iams headquarters to be sold using online auction

VANDALIA — The Iams-Eukanuba campus will hit the auction block, virtually, on Oct. 15 as the pet product’s manufacturer’s move to Mason nears.

The property will be sold through an online auction, with bidding on the property slated to begin at $900,000, according to a press release. The property has an appraised tax value of $8.6 million, the news release states.

Cincinnati-based consumer products giant Procter & Gamble Co., parent of Iams-Eukanuba, will shut the Vandalia operation on Oct. 24, said Jason Taylor, a P&G spokesman. Iams-Eukanuba’s 240 employees will move to the P&G Mason Business Center.

The 7250 Poe Ave. property has two interconnected, four-story office buildings and includes 12 acres. Each building measures about 53,000 square feet.

Bidders can register at www.jll.com/auctions.

The relocation does not include the Iams-Eukanuba pet foods plant and research and development complex in Lewisburg, Preble County.
