Plans call for the restaurant to open the second week of April and to operate seasonally, April through November, although Perdomo said it may become a year-round restaurant if business remains strong toward the end of the season.
Arepas & Co opened its first location in the Second Street Market in downtown Dayton in 2012, and one year ago opened its second location at at 1122 E. Dorothy Lane. The Perdomos said they have a 10-year goal of operating 10 Arepas & Co locations in the Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati and Indianapolis areas.
The third location in Corwin will feature an expanded menu that will include homemade ice cream and Colombian-style hot dogs. The Perdomos also will oversee a bicycle parts store in the building.
“Our new location is a great spot for bikers and runners who can come and enjoy fresh, flavorful and healthy dishes while relaxing on the porch, at the fire pit or in one of our swings,” Lisa Perdomo said in a release.
