New spa will cater to kids who like to be pampered

A new spa geared toward children will host a grand opening party from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. next Saturday, July 12.

Fab Kid Spa Party Boutique, 694 W. National Road, will cater to kids 3 to 14, offering them services such as manicures, pedicures, facials, light makeup application and simple hair styling, according to spa owner Tarien Williamson, who lives in Vandalia and is the mother of three daughters — a 7-year-old and 3-year-0ld twins.

“I have three little girls who love to be pampered,” Williamson said. In searching the Internet for a unique birthday gift for her oldest daughter, Williamson discovered similar spas that cater to kids in other states and looked into opening a similar business here.

Fab Kid Spa offers birthday-party packages, mother-daughter outings and other special packages.

A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 2 p.m. on July 11, the day prior to the grand opening.

Reservations are accepted for parties and events Monday through Wednesday, and are recommended during the spa’s regular hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
