One Call Now acquires Cincinnati Bell division

One Call Now has acquired a business unit of Cincinnati Bell, according to a media release.

One Call Now, a Vandalia-based message notification service company, purchased cNotify from Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

cNotify is a business notification and automated messaging service.

“This acquisition will enhance our leadership in the business and services verticals, adding almost a million families to our recipient base, and providing these clients with broader notification and messaging features,” said Leib Lurie, One Call Now founder and chief executive, in a statement.

Through the deal, One Call Now gained clients that include LaRosa’s Pizzeria and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, officials said.

The cNotify deal represents One Call Now’s second acquisition this year. In January, the company announced its purchase of Safeguard Communications Ltd., a United Kingdom-based crisis communications and business continuity message notification service firm.

In October 2014, One Call Now announced the relocation its corporate headquarters from Troy to 6450 Poe Avenue in Vandalia. The company is expected to complete its relocation this month.
