DMAX will resume production this weekend at its Moraine plant following ratification Friday evening of a contract between General Motors and the United Autoworkers union that ended the workers’ 40-day strike.

Work will resume at 10 p.m. Sunday, with all departments reporting to work at the start of their normal shift times, DMAX announced in a release.

DMAX laid off employees Sept. 23 in response to reduced demand resulting from the UAW strike against GM.

DMAX produces the Duramax diesel engine for GM’s full-size trucks.
