Ribbon-cutting Friday for expanded Beavercreek craft shop

KP’s Kountry Primitives will host a grand re-opening Friday,Sept. 11 in its new, larger location in the former Bellfair Country Store at 1490 N. Fairfield Road, Suite A.

The Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce is planning a ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m. Friday, and the shop will be open until 8 p.m. that day. Light refreshments and snacks will be available, and there will be drawings for prizes throughout the day, according to KP’s Kountry Primitives co-owner Kathy Dillon.

The store opened in nearby space in July 2014 and closed a couple of months ago in order to relocate from its 800-square-foot space to a nearly 2,000-square-foot space, said Dillon, who owns the shop with her husband Jeff Dillon.

KP’s Kountry Primitives offers country and primitive decor items for the home, and small furniture pieces that are locally made, Kathy Dillon said. The store has added a primitive crafter, Robin Spurlock Wynn, and is “looking to find more local crafters of quality primitive items to consign in our shop,” Dillon said.

Special hours on grand re-opening weekend will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Going forward, hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, closed Mondays.

The store owners also are planning to hire a few employees in the weeks ahead, Dillon said.
