“This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in UAS and aviation to learn about the types of training opportunities that our two institutions offer and the potential for jobs in these industries,” Andrew Shepherd, director for UAS at Sinclair, said in an announcement. “Our partnership with Embry-Riddle on this event gives a prospective student of either institution a clear picture on what they’ll need to start a successful career.”
Academic advisors, faculty and staff from both schools will be on hand to meet with current and prospective students, Sinclair said.
Sinclair and Embry-Riddle have also recently partnered on the “real world design challenge,” which promotes science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by providing learning resources to high school students and teachers. This year’s challenge focuses on the application of UAS technology in precision agriculture, Sinclair said.
