The tackle and archery supply outlet will focus on the needs of fishermen, hunters and outdoorsmen. Fishing and hunting licenses will be available, as well as live bait.
The store will also sell used fishing equipment, such as poles and reels, and offer a 10 percent discount to all military personnel, said Shannon Tackett, the store’s general manager.
American Pro Tackle and Archery will have five employees — two full-time and three part-time.
The store is owned by Boyd “Scott” Stevens, a Fairborn native, and his wife Annie. Stevens — an avid tournament fisherman and outdoorsman — is a career ironworker and board certified safety professional.
Jack Sullivan, the former owner of Sugarcreek Archery, will help with the archery side of the business.
American Pro Tackle and Archery will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 6 a.m. to noon on Sundays.
