Tipp City company plans to expand, hire more workers

Process Equipment Co. of Tipp City will receive a $1 million loan from the state to be used toward the company’s expansion, pending final approval from the State Controlling Board.

The company plans to use the money to purchase machinery and equipment to meet additional customer demand. PEC has committed to create 62 new full-time jobs and retain an additional 130 jobs as part of the project, according to State Sen. Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City).

PEC will contribute $2.5 million toward the project, Beagle said.

PEC makes custom welding equipment and fabricates machine tools for the alternative energy, automotive, defense, aerospace, power transmission and other industries.
