Wilmington company to lay off 59 workers

Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc. will lay off 59 employees in Wilmington later this year, the company has notified the state of Ohio.

Affected employees are scheduled to be separated from the company beginning Nov. 1 through December 27, 2019, Carrie Archer, the company’s vice president, human resources, wrote in a recent letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

The motion picture and video post-production company also laid off 68 employees in Burbank, Calif. in late 2018.

The Wilmington employees work in a warehouse at 3418 Progress Way.

Among the positions affected are eight delivery supply coordinators, 18 domestic support technicians, 10 international support technicians and others.
