The Oscar-winning actor posted a pair of videos to Twitter reiterating his support for Trump, calling him the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”
In his videos, Voight, 80, criticized the "political left" in his videos, which he titled, "To my fellow Americans," People reported.
Voight, who won an Academy Award for the 1978 film "Coming Home" and also starred in "Midnight Cowboy," and "Transformers," says in his videos that Trump "has made every move correct" and that the United States "is stronger, safer and with more jobs," since the president took office in January 2017, CNN reported.
"This job is not easy, for he's battling the left and their absurd words of destruction," Voight said. "Our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers, and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln."
