“We decided to expand out,” said Justin Chalender, Kabuki’s head server. “We are striving for excellence in both places.”
The new location, 6395 Perimeter Dr. in Dublin, has two eight person party rooms and 15 tables that can each hold two to four people.
“It has a little more atmosphere,” Chalender said of the new location. “It is more of a bistro-style restaurant.”
Like the Centerville location, the Dublin restaurant will feature Korean food, in-house brewed soy sauce and Kabuki's famed "33 Unique Rolls."
“We can make creations and change anything our customers want us to do,” Chalender said.
He has been with the restaurant since it was opened by Mae Brown and Yi Ho Suk in mid-2009.
The new location celebrated its grand opening July 15.
Much of the vegetables served in the restaurants comes from Kabuki’s garden in Kettering.
Chalender said the new location has Kabuki’s charm. It is being operated by Brown and her daughter Hannah Brown.
“We wanted to stay a family owned business,” Chalender explained. “We want them (customers) to have a Kabuki home in both places.”
