Greene County Health Inspections

The following are summaries of state of Ohio standard inspection reports on file from the Greene County Combined Health District, from the week of Nov. 2-6. District information is available online at www.gcchd.org/inspections.

2799 Centre Drive, Beavercreek

Date of inspection: Nov. 2

Violations: Found cold drawers holding 44-45F. (Service called)

Found towel under cutting board (corrected).

Found damaged trays in use (on order).

Found dry food soils: in spoon container at dessert station, condiment container at expo, speed rail in prep, pan storage rack in prep.

Found pans stacked wet.

Found wall in walk in cooler deteriorating along baseboard. Found damaged and missing floor and base tiles in several areas in kitchen. Found damaged ceiling around vents in employee’s restroom.

Found debris behind grill, and on floors under grill.

Asian King

1259 N. Fairfield Road, Beavercreek

Date of inspection: Nov. 2

Violations: Found food items stored uncovered in walk in cooler.

Found interior of chest freezer in prep area damaged. Found damaged gaskets on freezer and reach in refrigerators. Found shelves in walk in cooler damaged.

Found dry food soils: interior of refrigerators and freezers, under bulk bins, bus pans used to store food containers.

Found no soap at hand sink by utensil sink.

Found debris on floors under shelves and equipment.

Found grease build up on hood filters.

Golden Corral

2490 Commons Blvd., Beavercreek

Date of inspection: Nov. 3

Comments: The following items must be corrected to bring the remodeled areas into compliance with the Ohio Food Code:

-Hot holding unit: This unit needs to be either: 1) Sides and back must be completely sealed using trim pieces, or 2) Installed on casters so that unit is movable for cleaning.

-All tile and base must be smooth and easily cleanable under all new buffet areas in hot, cold, can rack, and dessert bars. Remove old pieces of tile and trim, and replace with tile, and all areas must be correctly grouted.

-Ceiling around Ansul line by new hand sink must be notched and sealed.

-Remove carpet in entrance between cold and hot bars and replace with tile.

-Install smooth, vinyl clad ceiling tile above new hot bar.

-Seal gaps in FRP above bar next to new hood.

-Increase lighting in new hood to at least 50 ft-candles (found at 32 ft-candles).

-Caulk underside of countertop in dessert area.
