BUTLER COUNTY— The After Midnight Band will play at Fairfield’s Groovin’ on the Green from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 22, and Middletown’s Broad Street Bash from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28.

Both nights, the five-piece band will put on a classic rock show that pays tribute to the ’70’s. They will play selected top 100 hits from Billboard Charts.

The Cincinnati-based band has been playing together for four years and puts on more than 100 shows a year.

“Everyone seems to enjoy ’70’s music,” said After Midnight vocalist Erick Daniels. “The young and old know the music, so everything has been going well.”

This will be the fourth season for the Broad Street Bash series. Organizer Tim Lewis is expecting a good turnout. “The After Midnight Band is a high energy, multi-talented band. On stage, they are extremely entertaining,” he said. “They’re the tightest group around.”

In the future, the band looks forward to recording original tracks that hint back to that ’70’s sound. “We’re just going to keep building on what we’re doing.”

Groovin’ on the Green is located at the Village Green Park Amphitheater on 301 Wessel Drive. Broad Street Bash is located at Governors Square Park at the intersection of Central Avenue and Broad Street.
