What would your reaction be to Ellen DeGeneres calling you? Would you scream? Drop your phone? Or would you break out into your happy dance?

A Dayton woman got that once-in-a-lifetime phone call.

Shantel Smith, a nurse and single mother, is one of Ellen's biggest fans.

Ellen decided to call the Dayton woman after telling her viewers about the power of kindness and, of course, her love of surprises.

Ellen joked that Shantel's screams were so high-pitched that it almost shattered the cup sitting on the table in front of her.

Shantel and her daughter, Kia, will be receiving a vacation to California to catch a taping of Ellen's show.
