The top 10 things to do this week

1) EASTER

Easter falls on Sunday, April 5, this year and there are a variety of programs and activities related to the holiday. Dayton History presents its annual ecumenical service at Carillon Historical Park, 1000 Carillon Blvd., Dayton, at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5. Cost: free. 2) DAYTON BIZARRE

First Friday's in the Oregon District will have an entirely different look when the monthly event returns at 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. The Oregon District Business Association and Downtown Dayton Partnership are working together with some of the neighborhood's businesses for Dayton Bizarre, which is being described as a street fair mixed with an art exhibition and sideshow. That means attendees can expect visual artists, musicians, street performers and vendors. Dayton Bizarre continues at noon Saturday, April 4. Cost: free. www.downtowndayton.org.

3) SHARON LANE

It's been 15 years since Sharon Lane released the album "Gigs Up" with Danny Sauers, so it is definitely way past due for a follow-up. The good news is the piano-playing blues singer is currently finishing a new album at All Nighter Recording Studio. However, Lane, or Miss Sharon, as she's known to her students at Stivers School for the Arts, still needs a bit of extra cash to finish the project and get it out to fans. To help make the album a reality some talented friends have organized a fundraising concert at Gilly's, 132 S. Jefferson St., Dayton, at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 4. 4) “AMERICA’S GOT DOWNTOWN”

British actor Luke Kempner has appeared in musicals including "Les Miserables" and "Avenue Q," but he has been garnering his biggest raves for his hit one-man show, "The Only Way is Downton." He is currently touring the United States in "America's Got Downton," which finds Kempner tackling more than 30 different characters. The show, which spoofs modern culture and the popular "Downton Abbey" series, is presented at Victoria Theatre, 138 N. Main St., Dayton, at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7 and 8. Cost: $25-$50. 5) CRAFTY-CON

Exquisite Xpression, Quilted Kat, Berning Sun Candles and Flying Balloon Studios are just some of the area artisans showcasing their wares at Dayton Crafty-Con 2015. The event, at the Yellow Cab Building, 700 E. Fourth St., Dayton, from 5 to10 p.m. Friday, April 3, is a fundraiser for Dayton Circus Creative Collective's upcoming Dayton Sideshow X on May 8 and 9. 6) L.A. GUNS

Like most of its hair metal contemporaries, the pre-grunge '80s was the L.A. Guns' commercial highpoint, but even the popularity of Nirvana and Pearl Jam couldn't stop this crew from making music. 7) EASTER COMEDY JAM

Lil Duval first earned a following in comedy clubs, but he has had a rising profile on cable television over the past several years. Since 2013, the Florida native has been co-hosting the MTV2 clip show "Ain't That America." This season he will also make a guest appearance on the same network's new series "Joking Off." 8) UD CELEBRATES ARTS

The creativity of some current University of Dayton students will be on display at the Schuster Center, Second and Main streets, Dayton. 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8. 9) JOHN MORTENSEN TRIO

Last month, Dayton Art Institute launched a new season of its Vectren Jazz & Beyond series with a well-received concert by saxophonist Greg Abate. Justin Leon has spent more than a decade honing his craft on comedy stages in his hometown of Kansas City and all points north, east, south and west.
