What you need to know before you head to Country Concert '17

Country music fans wrapped up three days in the country at Country Concert '15 in Fort Loramie, Ohio. Day three of the concert featured performances from the Eli Young Band, Justin Moore and Carrie Underwood.

Country music fans wrapped up three days in the country at Country Concert '15 in Fort Loramie, Ohio. Day three of the concert featured performances from the Eli Young Band, Justin Moore and Carrie Underwood.

It's a definite bucket list item if you like country music or people-watching. It's a three-day outdoor celebration of all things country music.

Here's what's in store for this year's shenanigans at Hickory Hills Lakes July 6-8, 2017:

Blake Shelton (Thursday headliner) 

Blake Shelton is a chart-topping country music star also known for appearing as a judge on TV’s “The Voice.” Shelton moved to Nashville when he was 17 to become a country music songwriter, and by 2001, he scored his first No. 1 hit "Austin." Success on the country charts followed Shelton for the next several years, right onto the coaching/judging panel of “The Voice” in 2011. Other hits include “The Baby,” “God Gave Me You,” “She Wouldn’t Be Gone,” and “Every Time I Hear That Song.”

Jake Owen (Friday headliner)

Jake Owen released his first single "Yee Haw" in early 2006, and it became his first Top 20 single. He went on to tour with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Sugarland and Little Big Town. He is now a headliner. Some of his top hits include: "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," "Don't Think I Can't Love You," "Eight Second Ride" and "Days of Gold."

Florida Georgia Line (Saturday headliner)

Florida Georgia Line, the duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, are back by popular demand. This group delivers an energetic fusion of country, rock, hip-hop and pop. Since breaking out in 2012 with the mega smash “Cruise,” Hubbard and Kelley have gone on to release other chart-toppers including “This is How We Roll” with Luke Bryan, “H.O.L.Y.” “Dirt” and “Stay.”

WHAT TO KNOW

Coolers are permitted inside the facility, but food and beverages are also sold on site. No glass. Re-entry to the concert is free, and on-site day parking is only $6 a carload and close to the camping sites. Overnight parking options are available as well. The general admission area is an open, grass-covered space, so bring your own seating.

CAN'T MISS EVENT

"This is is always our major event of the year," says James Frye, also known as Frye Guy on K99.1 FM. "Country Concert is like no other event in our area when it comes to country music.  It's always the biggest and best in country music packed into a non-stop 3 day event."
