The 411: "The blues jam will be every other Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be a sign-up sheet, with sign-ups starting at 4:30 p.m. Each musician will get 30 to 45 minutes on stage, depending on the sign-up sheet, and there isn't a cover charge."

A different jam: "All the blues jams that go on now are late jams, starting at 8 or 9 p.m. on a week night. I have a day job and found it hard to make a weeknight jam. In addition, I'm hoping parents that have a child that plays an instrument will bring them to the jam. There are young players, such as guitarists Kellen Williams and Joe Tellmann, that may inspire younger players."
Location is key: Being downtown, Hannah's is a central location. It's easy to find and free parking is all around. Also, it's a very safe environment and they have a nice stage and P.A."
Prime support: "The Primetime Blues Band will be the host band. We'll play a short set before starting the jam. We have a very unique set list that consists of original songs and our favorite classic blues songs in which we inject our musical DNA, just like blues musicians have always done. Members of Primetime will fill in on instruments when needed."

Early days: "The original Primetime Blues Band was formed in Columbus, Ohio by myself, 'Dapper' Dan Axt (harp), Richard 'Doc' Kass (drums) and the late Ed 'The Man' White (bass). We were together from 1995 to 2009."
Primetime 2.0: "The new version of TPBB is myself (guitar, vocals), Ronnie 'Hollywood' Robinson (drums, vocals), Anzio Martinez (bass, vocal) and Twaunte 'Jody' Knight (keyboards, vocals). We hope to continue the success of the original TPBB."
Final thoughts: "Blues is the foundation of all popular music. One doesn't have to play blues music to become a musician but learning blues will make one a better musician."
