Try some Polish dishes Sept. 22

The Polish Fest held in Dayton on Aug. 4, which we reported on in our pages back in July, was far more crowded than expected, and organizers ran out of food within the first two hours.

To give crowds another shot at homemade Polish goodies, the organizers are putting together a second festival. They’re calling this one Dozynski, which translates as Harvest Festival, and it will be held Sept. 22 at the Polish Picnic Grounds on Needmore Road.

John Loscko, past president of the Dayton Polish Club, said the Polish Club wants to offer people a second chance to try homemade bratwurst, sausage, cabbage rolls and other Polish specialties. He said the same band will perform as well. For more information, call (937) 222-8092.
