Summer will be over before we know it but there’s still time for one more one more dance party in the park. The annual Dayton Reggae Festival returns to Dave Hall Plaza in Dayton on Sunday, Sept. 6.

Music begins at 1 p.m. with a set from Ras HoneyComb. Other acts include Burning Bush, Lungu Vybz and Dougie Simpson & Faith. The festival concludes with the Reggae Unity Jam hosted by Seefari. Niki Dakota from WYSO-FM (91.3) will emcee the event and DJ SKNO from the Core DJ’s will be spinning reggae and dancehall between sets.

For a once in a lifetime experience, be sure to stay until the very end for the Reggae Unity Jam.  The final act will actually be a collaboration of different artists, hosted by Seefari, and they'll be making Dayton Reggae Festival history with their on-the-spot jams.

Parking/traffic info:
Street parking around the festival will be free.  You can also park in any of the nearby garages for a fee.  For people riding the bus, the festival is right near the bus hub, so it's easy to get to.
Best time to go:
Since the festival is one day only, why not stay the whole day? But if you're short for time, the bands really start to get going at 3. If you want to see the headliner, definitely get there by 6 p.m. at the latest.
