No, it is never too early to make plans for dining out on Thanksgiving Day. It might even be too late. But here’s a partial list of restaurants that are open and serving a special Thanksgiving-themed meal on the holiday, Thursday Nov. 28.

The list is not complete, and you may want to call your favorite restaurant now to find out their plans. Some restaurants are already completely booked with reservations, but may put you on a standby list in case of cancellations.

This list does not include the dozens of sports bars and pubs in the region that open Thursday afternoon and will be open for their regular hours and serving their regular menu Thursday night.

All Bob Evans locations will be open until 8 p.m. on the holiday. Guests can order from the full breakfast menu until 11 a.m., then a limited breakfast menu and special Thanksgiving meal after 11 a.m., which includes a choice of entrée, three sides, bread and a slice of pie for $14.99. There will also be a premium option available, including both ham and turkey, for $16.99.

🦃Carvers Steaks & Chops 

Traditional Turkey Dinner Served with trimmings of cornbread stuffing,red-skin  mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, cranberry sauce, choice of soup or salad, and apple-cinnamon pumpkin pie. Other entree options include Carvers Prime Rib or Baked Ham Steak.

🦃Crowne Plaza Dayton- View 162 restaurant

View 162 restaurant at the Crowne Plaza of Dayton hotel is serving a three-course dinner on Thanksgiving Day. The menu includes choice of turkey or ham; choice of two sides (choose from mashed potatoes, green-bean casserole, stuffing or cranberry chutney); side salad with rolls and butter; and a choice of dessert, either pecan pie or pumpkin cheesecake. The restaurant’s full dinner menu also will be available.

The special Thanksgiving Day menu includes a choice of Mixed Herb-Roasted Turkey or Petite Filet Mignon accompanied by traditional holiday trimmings, including House-Made Stuffing, Green Beans and Onions, family-style Mashed Potatoes and seasonal desserts such as Pumpkin Cheesecake. Children will be served a special three-course menu for $22. The full menu will also be available.

🦃Rob’s Restaurant 

Rob’s is once again serving up a Thanksgiving buffet with some additional regular favorites. Light and dark turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, corn, dressing and fish are among some of the Thanksgiving additions to the regular buffet of fried chicken, pizza, mac n cheese and more.

Smokey Bones will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day offering their full menu and taking online and catering orders, which are new for the restaurant this year. Their Sliced Smoked Turkey features turkey breast rubbed with house spices and hickory-smoked for three hours.

🦃Tanks Bar & Grill

The popular spot that has become a mainstay since opening in 1987 will mark its sixth year serving Thanksgiving dinner.

The dinner will feature a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner with dressing and gravy, the choice of two sides, a non-alcoholic beverage and a dessert.
