The Columbus native is making her professional debut in Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream, which opens a six-show run at the Nutter Center on Oct. 21. âDare to Dreamâ is more than the show title; itâs also what helped the 18-year-old get to her goal.
âIt feels incredible to be skating professionally,â she said. âI have loved skating in shows and performing since I was young, so being a part of Disney On Ice is a dream come true.â
Rapunzel, Snow White, Cinderella and Tiana will share the ice with Mickey and Minnie as Dare to Dream brings the four heroic Disney princessesâ stories to the ice in a vibrant live production. Audience members of all ages will enjoy familiar scenes from âTangled,â âSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs,â âCinderellaâ and âThe Princess and the Frog.â
Cordle plays several ensemble roles in the Snow White, Cinderella and Tangled segments. A long-time Disney fan, she hopes to someday be in the spotlight.
âI was a Disney fan growing up â my favorite Disney movie is âFinding Nemoâ and my favorite Disney character is Cinderella,â Cordle said. âI would love to play the role of one of the Disney princesses someday.â
While the princesses get much of the applause, Flynn and Maximus get the laughs and the Evil Queen is a character most fans love to hate. The combination of skating skill and well-loved fairy tales make Dare to Dream an enjoyable experience for audience members and cast members alike.
âMy favorite part of being in this show is performing with my amazing cast members and seeing the joy it brings to the audience,â Cordle said.
And for those young skaters who dare to dream about a career on the ice, Cordle offers some simple advice â advice that has paid off for her.
âWork hard and never give up.â
