A patriotic run/walk to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist acts will be held Friday morning at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The Run for the Fallen event is a closed-circuit 4-mile run or two-mile walk, is open to all team Wright-Patterson military and civilian members with a base ID card, and teams members, if permitted, will start at 8 a.m.

T-shirts can be purchased at the event. The cost is $10 for a youth t-shirt, sizes small to large and $12 for an adult t-shirt, sizes small to XL.

Festive, patriotic attire is encouraged, according to the WPAFB Facebook page.
