Here are just a few ways to celebrate Halloween this weekend.

FOR GROWN-UPS

Dia de las Cervezas

When: 5-9 p.m. Oct. 29

Where: 32 Webster St., Dayton

Cost: $40/advance, $50/at door. VIP: $60/advance, $75/at door.

For the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, the ideal “treat” is beer…and plenty of it, at Top of the Market. Admission covers 40 tasting tickets for 2-ounce samples and a souvenir glass. VIP tickets include early entry and a members-only food and beer section. Designated Driver tickets are $20 and come with a non-alcoholic beverage and food voucher.

More than 30 Ohio craft breweries will be represented, with live music from The AmpFibians and Team Void. The event is styled in the Dia de los Muertos tradition and costumes are encouraged for a procession down to the Oregon District’s Hauntfest on Fifth.

Hauntfest on Fifth

When: 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Oct. 29

Where: East Fifth St., Dayton

Cost: $5 (advance), $10 (day of event)

This Dayton tradition, now in its 31st year, continues to bring out beasts of all types. Admittedly, some of them have a little help from the Oregon District’s many watering holes. However, some people need no assistance in getting into elaborate, or sometimes barely there, costumes and parading down the street. The costume contest will begin at 10 p.m.
