Looking for some ways to celebrate the last day of 2016 that are suitable for the whole family? Here are some of your best bets:

Harlem Globetrotters

As the name suggests, the Harlem Globetrotters spend a good deal of the time traveling the world, entertaining audiences with a distinctive mix of basketball skills and clean, family comedy. However, if there’s one thing local fans can count on is the beloved clown princes of the hardwood will be back in town for its annual New Year’s Eve game.

Scene75 New Year’s Eve Bash

Don’t miss the countdown to 2017 with the Scene’s balloon drop at midnight. Special NYE fun is planned from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. including go-karting, arcade games, laser tag and more. The event is for all ages. There is a bar in the center of the arcade along with a restaurant and snack bar.

Cost: FREE admission, with pricing per attraction. Purchase a $50 or $75 game card and get a spin on the NYE prize wheel which includes NYE themed accessories, bonus arcade play, redemption points, and a chance for the grand prize of a private Scene75 event.

New Year’s Eve skate

Take one last spin around the ice rink before 2016 fades into history.

Where: MetroParks Ice Rink at RiverScape MetroPark, 111 E. Monument Ave., downtown Dayton

When: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Cost: $7. Registration is not required.

New Year’s Eve Family Bash

Swim, ice skate, run and play games and bounce one last time in 2016.

Where: Kettering REC Center, 2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering

When: 5:30-9 p.m.

Cost: Admission is $5/participant or $15/family of four and includes snacks. Additional $2 for ice skate rental.
