Discount Fashion Warehouse is a clearinghouse for several well-known, mostly connected brands that span from catalogue sales, mall stores and specialty brands, so it wasn't terribly surprising that while shopping, I found two separate items that color matched perfectly.
The cotton burgundy top from Express has a delicate mesh yoke at top with pleated cap flutter sleeves, making it a perfect transition piece from summer to fall. The most expensive thing I found at $12 (I misread the color coded label to have a further discount), it's still discount store prices for a dressy shirt with all the comfort of a T-shirt.

The coordinating plaid pencil skirt comes from the Limited, and at $1.70 was one of the most shocking bargain finds of the trip. With a small kick pleat in the back, burgundy inset contrast trim at the waist, and stretch throughout, it is a super comfortable option for looking polished and will easily transition into autumn with the addition of tights or tall boots.
I again wore the Sam Edelman flats I scored at the Saks Off 5th at the Cincinnati Premium outlets, and my agate necklace and earrings were clearance nabs from Nordstrom Rack last spring.
This pairing was one of my favorite discoveries from my DFW trip, and I can't wait to restyle it as fall finally rolls in to the Miami Valley.
