Did Boehner try to land shuttle?

Where was Speaker John Boehner during this effort to obtain a shuttle for Dayton? Did he consider it an "earmark" and refuse to get involved? Was he too busy protecting tax cuts for rich people to throw his "Speaker" weight behind obtaining a shuttle?
