Letters in support of Tom Grossmann, Chris Koch, Sandra Tugrul and Tom Ariss

The Dayton Daily News asked candidates in the Republican primary for the Warren County Commission to provide a letter of endorsement from one of their supporters.

‘He has ... guiding core principles that will make him a great asset’

This letter was written by David Young, president of the Warren County Commission.

As president of the board of county commissioners, I have a good understanding as to what it takes to be a good servant to the people.

As an elected official, I understand the difference between people who want to have a job and people who want to make a difference. Tom Grossmann wants to make a difference in Warren County.

He has the business experience, legal background, and guiding core principles that will make him a great asset.

A commissioner’s primary job is allocating a limited amount of money among many very worthy demands for those funds. A commissioner must understand business and money management.

Grossmann has a proven background of being a success in those areas.

While his opponents are all good people, Tom Grossmann has my support.

'Chris is a proven conservative who understands that we’re taxed enough already’

This letter was written by C. Michael Kilburn, a member of the Warren County Commission.

I support Chris Koch because I know he’s the conservative candidate. I trust him with our county’s future. I encourage you to do the same.

Chris is a proven conservative who understands that we’re taxed enough already. We don’t need increased tax revenues; we need leaders who understand that transparency in government means spending what we already have, wisely.

The only way to control taxes is to control spending, and Koch is our advocate. He has received support from a wide spectrum of Warren County residents.

Constituents of all parties refuse to put their trust in a government intent on serving itself only. Chris Koch is moving beyond party affiliation and is the people’s candidate.

I’m voting for an advocate, the people’s candidate. I’m voting for Chris Koch.

' ... meets all the criteria to be an effective county commissioner’

This letter was written by Robert W. Worth, a retired attorney.

I have known Sandra Tugrul for more than 20 years and find her to be very competent in dealing with the public.

She is one of the few women I know who is well-educated and completely knowledgeable in all facets of politics and worldwide events.

She is extremely devoted to her family and her clients. I am certain that she will be just as devoted to her constituents.

Sandra pays strict attention to details, and makes every effort to see that whatever project she is working on is precise, up-to-date and relevant.

She has been an avid precinct worker.

I have often worked with the county commissioners of Hamilton County, so I know the requirements of that office. Sandra Tugrul meets all the criteria to be an effective county commissioner.

'...proven ability to work with other leaders to reduce costs’

This letter was written by Pat South, a member of the Warren County Commission.

Tom Ariss possesses the best qualifications for Warren County because:

He brings 16 years of proven ability to work with other local and state government leaders to reduce costs by sharing ideas, equipment and manpower. These relationships will be invaluable in his commitment to attract new businesses and jobs along our interstates and to our industrial parks.

As a fiscal conservative, Tom already knows much of the county’s fiscal policies, giving him the best advantage in making meaningful cuts where necessary as state and federal funding continue to decrease. Minimizing government expenditures and keeping debt service low will allow the county to maintain expected services.

Tom has committed to work full-time at this job. Elect someone you know and trust. Vote Tom Ariss for Warren County commissioner on May 4.
