Proton therapy was a great way to treat prostate cancer

Re “Proton therapy is promising, but pricey,” Nov. 8: This is the greatest treatment to come to town. I was treated at Loma Linda Medical Center for prostate cancer in 1999. I had 11 Proton treatments and 22 Flotron treatments. For me, that was the wisest decision I made. A friend of mine also had treatment there and recommended it to me. Neither one of us has had a recurrence of the cancer, and it has been 10 years since we had the treatment.

Of course, they treat other cancers also.

I highly recommend these treatments to anyone.

I pray that this will be built in our area. It’s better than surgery. Of course, the surgeons would disagree.
