If you like piña coladas, then let's face it, you probably also enjoy getting caught in the rain. Well, El Meson has you covered, literally.  The restaurant has a covered patio, and it's like a tropical oasis in the middle of the restaurant. The piña colada is blended to delight from an in-house mixture with Bacardi rum.  It is incredibly smooth and frothy.  El Meson charges $9 for most of their frozen drinks, including the piña colada. The restaurant also has an outdoor patio, so either way you can sip your piña colada in style.

Chuy's piña colada is in a class of its own. What sets this piña colada apart is that it is made with 1800 Coconut Tequila, in addition to Malibu rum. This drink is more refreshing than it is sugary; the orange and pineapple juices offset the sweetness of the coconut in an ideal way. The piña colada is a drink that is featured in Chuy's frozen machines, so you can count on it to be perfectly blended and smooth. The Chuy's La Pina Colada is $10.

You’ll find El Rancho Grande’s piña colada under the non-alcoholic section of the drink menu, but upon request, customers can get theirs with a little kick. In fact, Gustavo Arellano, manager of the Brown Street location recommends "adding a double shot of whichever rum you prefer.” This piña colada is so creamy and delicious; it’s practically a tropical milkshake. It’s served in a pint glass, topped with whipped cream and a cherry, and garnished with an orange slice.  A virgin piña colada will only cost you $4.99, while an alcoholic one is $6.99.

Elsa’s is most known for its Bad Juan’s, but did you know Elsa's also makes piña coladas? Naturally, this piña colada packs a punch. It’s mostly coconut and alcohol.  You can’t taste much fruit flavor otherwise.  Elsa’s piña colada has the most ice to liquid, but it worked in their favor because it’s very refreshing.  All in all, this was a very straight-forward piña colada that would be perfect for a piña colada traditionalist, and it’s only $6.50.
