A 33-year-old Dayton man is charged in connection to an August sexual assault case.

Ronald Russel Johnson Sr. pleaded not guilty Thursday during his arraignment in Dayton Municipal Court for two counts each of kidnapping and rape, plus an aggravated burglary charge.

The incident took place around 1:45 a.m. Aug. 9 in the 3000 block of Jewelstone Drive.

Johnson entered a woman’s residence without permission and forced her to remove all her clothes before sexually assaulting her multiple times, according to court records.

He is being held on $500,000 bond in the Montgomery County Jail, where he has been held since his Oct. 23 arrest.

Johnson is next scheduled to appear in court Monday for a preliminary hearing, court records show.
