Reason for recognition?

* Volunteers with the Fisher Houses

* Cooks meals for guests and their families. On “Fat Tuesday,” Petersen prepared Louisiana Creole dishes, paying particular attention to mitigate cross contamination of servings for possible food allergies.

* Assists with setup and tear-down at “All American Evening,” an annual fundraising event at the National Museum of the U. S. Air Force

* Helps raise local awareness of Fisher House operations throughout local communities via a variety of events and fundraisers around the Miami Valley area

* Maintains and repairs the Fisher House popcorn-popping cart in the Wright-Patterson Medical Center atrium. It’s used to help raise donations for daily expenses of the Fisher Houses.
