Airport security to tighten in light of attacks

Right after the Paris attacks, flight crews in Cincinnati were not told of any security increases. Now cities, and airports, across the country are locking down access in the wake of terrorist attacks in France and a homemade bomb on a Russian plane.

NewsCenter 7’s Natalie Jovonovich is at the Dayton International Airport today to speak with airport director Terry Slaybaugh on the local impact.

Slaybaugh said safety protocols are reviewed daily at the Dayton airport.

“Any national event, the focus always becomes airports,” Slaybaugh said. “I think there is a lot more attention to employee screening now by the TSA and by the airport administration, is something that we’re looking at and I think employees are under more scrutiny right now.”
